An Atheist Meme Worth Spreading The family. The other meme sucked but this one is worth spreading. Get me food human. Now. Advertisements Share this:TwitterFacebookGoogleLike this:Like Loading... Related 17 Comments Atheists are the best evangelists for Christian values. For progressive human values. Lol @SOM. Atheists are the best evangelists for Christian values. And those values would include, Hell would they? Yes, Ark. Hell too. That’s because you can’t stop talking about it. And you know all about Hell do you? Care to share your encyclopedic knowledge of this vile, fictional doctrine, SOM? Ark, What I know about Hell, I learned from you. So you acknowledge the Christian Hell is simply a church construct? Ark, Jesus spoke of hell a few times. Therefore, the existence of hell is a matter of Revelation. No he didn’t. You need to understand your bible. Look up Gehenna. Ark, Since you are the Bible expert and since everything I know about hell, I learned from you, why don’t you teach me about Gehenna, the trash heap that is always on fire and where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. Why don’t you rather pull your bottom lip over your head and swallow? As usual you prove to everyone in this part of the multiverse that you haven’t the slightest idea what you’re talking about. Your googling skills seemed to have failed you miserably. Apparently you are also a disciple of Ehrman the Idiot. Oh ….tish posh poo! You’re right SoM, many atheists are the best evangelists for Christian values. Not only that, they actually live by them, which is more than I can say for many Christians. The values expressed in that meme, which are essentially what makes up the Golden Rule, should be the “Prime Directive” of Christianity, yet it is all too often missing. Can you blame non-Christians for not seeing those values being expressed in so much of what is claimed to be the Christian message? And I would include the doctrine of Hell as being a large part of that problem. So called “Christian values” are not unique to Christianity. They are values which are common to all decent societies, although expressed in different ways. If someone lives by those values, do you think God would be concerned about how those values were derived? Barry, The atheists I know in the real world are mega successful and are titans of their communities. There simply is no denying that. Barry, I studied the Catholic Catechism and Catholic theology in general at grad school and I don’t remember the “Doctrine of Hell” ever being mentioned. No doubt, there is a Catholic “Doctrine of Hell,” but just isn’t emphasized. I think atheists focus on hell just so they can make their atheism work out for them. The three headed selfie is about as avant garde as it gets in today’s modern world! Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here...
