My Puppy at Play

Here, let me pose handsomely for you

So I just wanted to share a few pictures I have of Dexter playing with his friends. We like to send him to a place called ‘Country Paws’ about once a week so that he can play, swim and get some much needed exercise. That’s where these pictures were taken.

In this one Dexter is being unusually acrobatic.

I'm betting the person taking the picture has a tasty treat in their hand because Dexter sure looks like he expects something

I love this picture. It looks like Dex is yelling Oh sh*t!

Dexter would swim the day away if he could every single day. He loves to swim but if the grass is a bit wet, he won't want to go outside. Go figure

So I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Paddle on, Dexter, paddle on!

      • I have two, actually. Both rescues. I have an 80 pound pointer mix(mixed with I don’t know what) and a 40 pound boxer/beagle mix. Neither one of them think they’re a dog. The pointer mix does not like being sprayed with water, either. She hates to take a bath. We’re pretty sure she was abused in some way before we got her and it has been suggested that they might have used water spray as a form of discipline. She loves the lake, though.

          • When we first adopted her she was really very timid and especially so with men. It took a good four months before she would even let my husband approach her. He had to let her come to him. She’s really come out of most of that now and is in a really good place. She’ll let him do most anything to her. If hating water is all that’s left I think we’re good.

My little boxer/beagle is a sweetie. Thy both are, really, but she’s a cuddly girl.

“There can be only one.” I can’t even tell you how many times I make reference to that quote in my everyday conversations. 🙂
