Batman and Joker GeekFest

Today I had a total geek meltdown at a local festival. I tried to resist the urge but I couldn’t. Not this time.

I bought ceramic Batman and Joker masks. They’re wearable but they’re definitely going on my wall, right above my computer desk.

Just think; pretty much every post I write on this blog will be typed beneath the relentless glare of Batman and Joker.

“People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, and I can’t do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I’m flesh and blood; I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol… as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting”. - Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins

But the Joker has something to say about that…

“You… you just couldn’t let me go could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You are truly incorruptable aren’t you. You won’t kill me because of some misplaced sense of self-rightousness. And I won’t kill you because…you’re just too much fun. I get the feeling that you and I are destined to do this forever.” - Joker

They might act like a whole ‘good angel vs. bad angel’ thing as I type each post. Maybe the Joker will win and you’ll all get to watch my descent into madness.

Or maybe they’ll just be responsible for pasting a geek-smile on my face every time I see them hovering above me as I type. *wink*
